It is with great joy that we publish the first issue of the second volume of the journal Asklepion - Health Information, published by the Research Group on Information in Science, Technology and Innovation in Health - ICTIS, from IBICT/MCTI.

After two years of the Covid-19 pandemic, health information seems to have repositioned and revalued itself in the public sphere. It is no longer just in the interest of health, but of the entire professional, who seeks to understand the processes of health and disease, in the dimensions of collective and personal society, as integrated actions in health, and indicators of well-being and material and quality. life experience.

The demand for medication and specific preventive measures against Covid-19, and for physical barriers to its scientific, scientific and scientific information at the center of the dynamics. In the category of highlights of the distribution and distribution of immunological products market: a globalized topic by sphere of the first drugs. There is an international division of labor, but control is in the hands of companies in rich countries.

In Brazil, we are experiencing the paradox of having the Unified Health System - the SUS valued by society, which recognizes its leading role in facing the Covid-19 pandemic, but which suffers as a result of the ceiling of publics and cuts and contingencies of expenses Union budgets. The effects are the precariousness and weakening of the system.

The new position of health information in society increases the need to discuss the reliability of information sources and the means of communication, as well as the processes of production and organization of knowledge. The validation of scientific and technological information requires a critique that contributes to the rational reconstruction of effective sources, means and processes.

We believe that the Asklepion - Health Information journal has been fulfilling its purpose of contributing to the dissemination of scientific knowledge, through the communication and dissemination of the results of new research and quality studies, for the benefit of well-being and health. of society. We hope that our readers share this experience and satisfaction.
